The project presented unique challenges, including heavy downtown pedestrian traffic, complex multi-trade coordination, matching existing site conditions, and strictly meeting ODOT specifications for all materials and workmanship. Mission Construction, Inc. performed all concrete work for the curbs, ADA ramps, standard pedestrian sidewalks, and traffic-rated sidewalks. Ultimately, the project successfully achieved its goals: providing modern infrastructure—including updated traffic lights and ADA access to downtown Hood River—while significantly improving overall pedestrian safety.
